A son of the great sire of beauty Versace (Fame VF x Precious as Gold by *El Shaklan) out of the Padrons Psyche daughter DA Love (x Magnifficaa FA by Echo Magnifficoo), DA Valentino is part of a fine breeding legacy. A proven show horse with an unbeaten record in the national arena, DA Valentino has been a 6-time national champion in America and Canada, and both Scottsdale Champion Stallion and Supreme Champion.
His first two registered foals were born in 2006. His 2007 foal crop was ten foals and in 2008 he had 48 foals, for a total of 60 registered offspring. Over half of all these offspring were entered at the 2009 Scottsdale Show. Not surprisingly all were shown in Halter divisions.
Three of those shown at Scottsdale were champions at the show including, DM Valencea (x HED Caramba) in the SSS Auction Championship Yearling Filly AOTH, Eccentric Valentino (x Amelia B) in the SSS Championship Two-Year-Old Colt ATH, and Valori TRF ( x Satin Chall LL), who won the Purebred Yearling Senior Fillies and went on to be the 2009 Scottsdale Junior Champion Filly. Offspring sired by DA Valentino won a total of 10 Top Ten titles and two first place awards at the Scottsdale Show.
D Noor (x Starshah) was Reserve in the Purebred Yearling Senior Fillies, DM Valencea and DA Elegantra (DA Magnafire) were Top Ten in the Purebred Yearling Senior Fillies, and Orabella CBA (x Affecshahn) was Top Ten in Purebred Yearling Junior Fillies. Emperor Valentino (x KH First Prize), Valentino Rossi UA (ATA Savannah Bey) and Onitnelav (x Royal Ghazallah) were Top Ten in the Purebred Yearling Senior Colts, and Vitorio TO (x Sol Natique) was Top Ten in the Purebred Yearling Junior Colts.
Valentinah PA (x Bey Challina JD) won the Purebred Yearling Senior Filly AAOTH and Mi Bella Rosa (x Tequila Rose MTC) – one of only two registered Half-Arabian offspring of DA Valentino- was a Top Ten HA Stock/Hunter Yearling Filly. Onitnelav was also a Top Ten in the SSS Yearling Colt/Gelding ATH, Valora CBA (x Ashton Bey) was a Top Ten Purebred Yearling Junior Filly AAOTH, and Power of Luv (x ROL Snap Shot) was a Top Ten in the SSS Yearling Filly ATH.
Of the successful bloodlines represented, two are out of Magnum Psyche daughters, two are out of Magnum Chall HVP daughters and a number feature line breeding to Bey Shah. All seem to have considered heavy type in their selection for characteristics. Even the Half-Arabian filly, Mi Bella Rosa is really a 7/8 Arabian out of a Legacy of Fame daughter out of a *Padron/Quarter Horse cross.
It is interesting to note that of the DA Valentino offspring shown at Scottsdale all were yearlings except for the two-year-old colt, Eccentric Valentino. Several were quite successful in the Scottsdale Signature Stallion competition. In fact, this first year representing their sire in that prestigious and very competitive program they won a total of $73,194.33 for their owners.
Historically, I think it would be very difficult to uncover a more auspicious beginning for any young Arabian sire.
